Fastest way to opt out
Email privacy@solarnearus.com with the subject “Do Not Sell or Share” and the name, email, and phone number you used. Browsers that send Global Privacy Control are opted out automatically.
1. Your right to opt out
When you ask to be matched, Solar Near Us may provide your request details to solar providers and marketing partners that pay us for referrals. Under the California Consumer Privacy Act and similar state laws, this may be a “sale” or “sharing” of personal information. You have the right to tell us not to sell or share your personal information.
Opting out applies to future sales. It does not undo disclosures already made, but we will notify providers that received your information after your request, where required by law.
2. How to opt out
Option 1: Email us
Email privacy@solarnearus.com with the subject line “Do Not Sell or Share.” Include the name, email address, and phone number you used with us so we can find your records. You do not need to create an account.
Option 2: Global Privacy Control
If your browser or extension sends a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal, we treat it as a valid request to opt out of the sale and sharing of personal information collected through that browser. If you then submit a request form, we will apply the opt-out to that request.
Authorized agents
An authorized agent may submit an opt-out on your behalf by emailing us with written permission signed by you.
3. What happens after you opt out
- We process opt-out requests as soon as feasibly possible and no later than 15 business days after receipt.
- We will not sell or share your personal information with providers or partners unless you later give us permission.
- We will wait at least 12 months before asking you to opt back in.
- You will not be charged or treated differently for opting out. Because matching requires sharing your details with a provider, we may not be able to complete a new matching request while your opt-out is active.
4. Other privacy rights

5. Stopping calls, texts, and emails
Opting out of sales is separate from stopping communications. To stop messages, reply STOP to any text, ask a caller to place you on our do-not-call list, or use the unsubscribe link in an email. See our Communication Consent Terms.
