Solar Near Us wants every homeowner to be able to learn about solar and request options, including people who use assistive technology. We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA.
2. What we do
- Use semantic HTML, a logical heading structure, and a “Skip to content” link on every page.
- Label every form field and announce form errors and step changes to screen readers.
- Support full keyboard navigation with visible focus indicators.
- Maintain color contrast that meets WCAG AA and avoid relying on color alone.
- Provide text alternatives for meaningful images.
- Test pages with automated accessibility checks on desktop and mobile layouts before release.
3. Known limitations
Automated tests cannot catch every barrier, and content from third parties, such as provider websites you may be referred to, is outside our control. If something on our site does not work for you, we want to hear about it.
